Social impact is an area of rapidly increasing involvement and interest for Wharton MBA students, with MBA graduates and interns serving employers across sectors, including social finance, education, government, social enterprise, and non-profits.
Our online job board includes over 550 summer and full-time job postings in social impact fields, and we have greatly expanded our course offerings in areas of social impact through the Wharton Social Impact Initiative (WSII), which enables the integration of learning, experience and impact and the development of research, outreach and student- centered programs. Additionally, Wharton MBA students are able to gain valuable social impact experience through the student-run Wharton Social Venture Fund, which seeks to co-invest and partner with angel and venture capital investors focusing on a triple bottom line (people, planet, and profits) investment philosophy.
Meet the Social Impact Club
The Club’s weekly meetings cover industry trends, spotlight guest speakers and offer career preparation advice for members.
Participate in the Social Impact Conference
This annual student-hosted event focuses on social impact trends within a business context and provides excellent networking opportunities for students and organizations.
Host a Career Trek
Each year our students organize visits to Washington, New York City and San Francisco to visit government and nonprofit organizations. Treks are a great opportunity to share your story and network.
